Fresh from the oven.

As a working wife and mother, on the weekends I sometimes get the opportunity to branch out into a different form of design and construction.  On this steamy and relaxing Saturday morning, I crafted up a fresh blackberry pie. To be clear, I bought the crust and blackberries from Publix, and my Mom emailed me her recipe.  However, for a couple of hours the house filled with the familiar and frequent aromas of my Grandma’s house back in South Carolina.  The blackberry pie enveloped us all as we cleaned, played and enjoyed the morning.

The pie is now done, the kids are dressed, and we are off to Celebration, FL to watch a movie in the quaint and all-American twin screen theater. When we return from the movies the blackberry pie will undoubtedly be our evening treat.
